Goodbye Grace

Our community in Calgary is so small that every departure hurts. Last week Grace and Darren stayed with us for a week before they leave for their respective assignments, Grace back to Singapore and Darren to Houston, Texas. This pair of newly-wed had to be apart for at least 5 months before they meet again in October. Grace adores Eeyek and spent a great deal of time playing with him, laughing with him and learning his songs! Eeyek calls her "Grease". How sweet :P. I wonder when our paths will cross again but till then, we wish them well.

Tips : 1) Marinate fish with Xiaohing wine & corn starch 30mins prior to cooking.

We have been looking for a better carseat for Eeyek. One that can recline, comfy and has good safety features. After researching for a while, I found this Britax Marathon piece that has 4.75/5 star review. It looks a little simple to me but guess other parents who has tried it should know better! Only setback is that it doesn't have a cup holder. I find the print very cute! Somehow I hope we won't feel dizzy after looking it for a while...like 5hours drive to Jasper!

Braised Pork in Soy Sauce

Better known as Tau Yew Bak in Hokkein. My first attempt. I added some dried chillies for that ummph effect. And it was hmmmmm......My hubby asked me what's my intention of making him fat...I take that as a compliment. :)
