Jon & Kate Plus 8

I have one and my head is spinning. They have eight and surviving. I watch them every Monday at 7pm on TLC and I love the little kids. I salute the somewhat cranky Kate. With no domestic help and Jon working, she cooks, cleans, feeds, plays, disciplines all by herself. Not forgetting about facing the camera every single day for TLC. Occasionally she will let out some air by being picky at Jon! Latest development has it that he is working from home. So all the bestto you Jon. Table for Six

We threw a dinner for 6 on 28 March 09 for Soony's soccer mates. It all started as a Thank You meal for Jim & Thomas who helped us with the moving. So hubby thought the more would definitely be merrier so he called Fraser, Amy and Karl along. Dinner was at 6pm. We had a call at 530pm from Karl. He is young and funny. Guess what he asked.

Karl : Hey Damien, (hubby's soccer name!) just wondering if I need to pay for dinner tonight? Cos i'm outta cash and need to run to the ATM before I come to your place.

Damien : *paused for a while* Oh...no Karl. Just come.

Hubby told me and I had a good laugh. He is so cute and I respect his guts. Some of us probably would call the other attendees instead of the host right? And I told hubby I will put this in my blog. My MIL and I toiled for hours to get dinner in place. We had spring rolls (50pcs), stewed chicken, cereal prawns, mantau, brocolli with snowpea, tomato egg, kiwi, Lay's chips and loads of wine and beer. They had good fun. It was worth all the hardwork.

Ooh La La Senza

La Senza is Canadian. Hence they have sale almost every month. You name it, Spring Sale, Summer Sale, Valentine's Day Sale, Canada Day Sale....well I'm not complaining.
So last week at Market Mall, the big word SALE was up on the display window again. In we went with my MIL pushing Isaac on the stroller and me with a Zellers shopping cart (cos I just sapu 7 or 8 cans of formula, saving $3.50ea can, very big deal and me very happy). We ruffled through every corner that read SALE. Isaac was a lil restless so I let him play with a bra or two. It's not Toys'R'us so what else to let him play, rite? At least he was happy with "cups". While ransaking, I had to feed him teething biscuit, water and clown around. The stroller and shopping cart almost consumed 30% of the free space. Now I recall those stares! Even with all the mentioned inconveniences, we managed to bring out 2 huge bags of cups and saucers! For $50++, we got ourselves :-

Tag Along de Taggies

My son's favourite is playing with label or tag on toys, towels, pillow cases, anything! When he was about 6 months old while on tummy time, he stumbled upon a tag from his blanket and guess what? He stared and played with it for a good 40mins! And that scenario got me back to something I saw at Toys'R'us back in Canada. It's a toy with loads of tags! I remember asking myself what's that funny toy for.... tags?? And now my lil one enlightened me. Babies loves tags and they find them amusing and interesting. I tried looking for Taggies (the real name for the product) in KL but to no avail. Managed to get him these 2 Taggies here. Quite pricey, I must say. So that's it. No more Taggies. Period. Unless...........

I can't cook but I would love to expand my culinary skills. I wish I can wok out dishes like curry chicken, sambal petai, bak kut teh, BBQ pork (siu yuk, siu pai kwat & char siew), nasi lemak, lobster bisque, quiche Lorraine, scones and soooo much more. So far I know I mastered this : Chef's Salad ala Kate. I am in love with it. My mom-in-law craves for it. What a satisfaction over such wok-pan-free healthy, delicious creation...

Reunion of the Cuzz

Isaac is the Tai Kor by 2 months. And he acts like one too! Unfortunately we were unable to snap a decent pix of all three. Infants....what do you expect rite?

Zhen Xuan is cousin Soon Kit's latest addition. Their eldest daughter, Xiao Tung is 8 years old and very very tall. What a gap!

Now we have another person fighting over our pail of caramel popcorn!! He's only 8 months old! Kinda dangerous to let him eat such a big piece of food or better known as junk. He will lick the caramel and suck the popcorn until it's soft and in no time it'll be gone. He will look at the popcorn pail and make noises, asking for more! So fun to watch him especially when the popcorn sticks to his palm and he tries to transfer it to the other hand. Such hilarious scene! It's time to fill up the pail again.

For the umpteenth time..........MY BABY IS A BOY. He wears no pink, skirts, dress or hairbands! I might need to dress him with bullet strips or M16 or what else huh? Perhaps a mohawk hairstyle this time round? Suggestions are welcomed.
